This handout is a course supplement for the Probability and Statistics module taught to first-year Bachelor's students in Electrical, Mechanical, and Civil Engineering. After reorganization into two parts: Statistics and Probability, the program proposed in the form of points in the specifications was followed. The probability section is separated into six chapters, whereas the statistics section is divided into three chapters. The weekly timetable is as follows: one 1.5-hour lecture and one 1.5-hour tutorial every week.
This module introduces students to the essential concepts of probability and statistics: statistical series, probability over a finite universe and random variables.
